material handling
Across many industries, I have had the privilege of helping implement linear robots as well as 5 and 6 axis industrial robots to assist in material handling applications.
Robotics offers improvements in; quality control, production rates, and safer work environments for personnel. Placing the best robot for each application allows for maximum return on investment with most applications having less than a 2 year ROI.
Collaborative solutions
I am certified in FANUC collaborative robotics and have successfully installed multiple “cobots”.
Collaborative robots take advantage of the latest technologies to allow robots and humans to work side by side. Collaborative robots can alleviate a lot of repetitive motion, as well as be utilized to lift heavy or cumbersome objects to assist in the production process.
Machine tending
Robotics prove to be a wonderful solution for machines that need to be run on off shifts. When paired with smart CMM’s and lathes, a robotic cell can run an entire shift with no human interaction, provided all the correct components are in place.
If a fully automated cell isn’t the goal, robotics can be used for many essential functions. This can be leveraged to increase production across all shifts with little or no increase in personnel required.
